David Elias Delgado is a multimedia artist from the El Paso/Ciudad Juárez border region. His artistic practice began at an early age, playing multiple instruments and performing in a professional mariachi band by the age of 13.
He went on to write and produce his own music, and expanded to digital mediums, creating his audiovisual interactive/immersive installation called "Synesthesiac", which integrates art, science and emerging technology.
In 2012 David formed his brainchild project Villains Kiss, a collaborative four-piece performance group, which has reached listeners in over 60 countries. The band recently returned from a tour through major US cities along the West Coast, released music on all platforms, and pressed a Vinyl record under David's own independent label "León Dócil", the umbrella entity under which David explores his multimedia practices.
Thematically inspired by the laws of nature, the human experience, and his upbringing on a multicultural community, David's work aims to capture and highlight the invisible threads that connect us to each other and to our surroundings.
